Are you an iPhone lover? Would love to save money and also have full control of your Apple iDevice with iOS 15 jailbreak? If your answer is yes! Then you are in the right place.
The release of iOS 15 has brought major updates on the previous version which is iOS 14.7 update. These updates include enhanced security, the introduction of SharePlay, FaceTime, Text Identification on photos and among others.
Does this mean that I can’t jailbreak iOS 15? No. Even with extensive updates, a jailbreak is still possible.
There is currently no official jailbreak available for iOS 15. No jailbreak for iOS 15 has been publicly confirmed by any developer. However, there are developers who have tested a few jailbreak tools and methods on iOS 15.
The majority of them are ineffective. However, certain jailbreak methods are partially compatible with iOS 15.
All iOS versions and device models are supported by the jailbreak alternatives listed below.
Cydia Cloud has iOS 15 Jailbreak which will support all the iOS devices including the latest iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max. So with Cydia Cloud you can experience the latest iOS 15 jailbreak features on your device.
At the moment there are no official jailbreak tools provided by the well known jailbreak tool developers. But you can install Cydia App Store for iOS 15 with virtual jailbreak using the Cydia Cloud installer.
Cydia Cloud provides many jailbreak apps and tools which you can use with your iOS 15 updated device. And there won't be any compatibility issues over devices.
Installing Cydia Cloud is a really easy process. Cydia Cloud App installation process will automatically detect your device and device iOS version and proceed the jailbreaking.
So you just need to follow the steps and install the Cydia Cloud app. With Cydia Cloud, you can see many iOS 15 compatible apps which will not be available on the regular app store.
Checkra1n is one of the most stable jailbreak tools based on the Checkm8 exploit released by axi0mx sometime back. This is a bottom level security exploit that will provide the most stable jailbreak tool compared to other tools.
This hardware based iOS exploit can be used on iPhone from 4S to X. And significantly this exploit can not be patched using any software update. Due to that new iOS updates can not fix this exploit.
So the iOS version does not matter. This jailbreak will work with any device based on A5 to A11 chipsets.
But to test this Checkra1n has been tested on below mentioned devices with iOS 15 and you can see its results.
When jailbreaking using checkra1n some conditions must be considered for it to work efficiently on your Apple device:
The following modifications have been made to Checkra1n 0.12.4.
If you’ve met all the criteria above, your Apple device is ready to be worked on.
Here is the process:
Uncover is a semi-untethered jailbreak tool that has been developed by the Pwn20wnd and unc0ver team. Unc0ver is one of the easiest jailbreaking tools which will support Windows/ Mac.
But unc0ver does not support iOS 14.4 onwards. But hopefully, Unc0ver will support it on iOS 15 since this update is coming with many new features.
The initial version of Unc0ver came with many vulnerabilities. The last unc0ver exploit was compatible with devices up to iPhone 12 and it was compatible up to iOS version iOS 14.3.
So we can assume that Pwn20wnd will release an iOS 15 compatible jailbreak soon with compatibility over all devices. But for the moment Unc0ver will not be compatible with iOS 15.
But you do not need to worry there are alternative jailbreaks available that will be fully compatible with iOS 15.
Unc0ver is a tool that gives users the ability to break locks that iPhone developers enact to limit key capabilities for example monitoring the operating system operations, which applications can be installed, and many more.
All iPhones and iPads, including the iPhone 12 Pro Max, are compatible with unc0ver (A12-A13-A14). For the time being, unc0ver is only compatible with iOS 11- iOS 14.3.
Like other tools, some prerequisites need to be considered before jailbreaking using the unc0ver tool. Some of these pre-requisites are:
Taurine is the current jailbreak which is created by CoolStar, it is fast, has a supercharged experience and with the use of ilbhooker and continuous testing, taurine ensures you experience the best jailbreaking experience.
Taurine is also a type of jailbreak that allows you to reboot your phone in the normal way, but when rebooting the jailbreak and any changed code will be disabled.
Furthermore, the Taurine jailbreak is incompatible with iOS 15 because it relies on a software-based kernel attack. As previously stated, iOS 15 does not have a powerful kernel exploit.
Only iOS 14 and iOS 14.3 are compatible with taurine. Taurine 1.0.6 has been updated with bug fixes by the principal developer cool star. Taurine can be downloaded via the ODDYStore or directly from the taurine.app website.
When using the taurine tool to jailbreak iOS 15 some pre-requisites need to be considered, and they are :
If you have met all the pre-requisites above then you are ready to proceed with the process:
Focus is a new feature in iOS & iPadOS 15 that aims to help iPad and iPhone users focus on a task by eliminating distractions.
If you have been jailbreaking for some time, you are probably familiar with the notion.
That’s mainly because of the Pure Focus tweak released in 2019. This helps to function the same by increasing productivity by eliminating distractions.
We've always liked being able to save battery life on our iPhones by switching to Low Power Mode, but this function has never been available on our iPads.
This is no longer the case in iPadOS 15.
We're delighted about this official update, but the jailbreak community deserves credit, as LPMPad, a jailbreak hack, was the first to bring Low Power Mode to the iPad platform more than a year ago.
Have you seen iOS 15 and iPadOS 15's new notifications? The new notifications are smoother and appear similar to those provided by well-known jailbreak mods like Velvet and Quart.
Although not a carbon copy, especially in terms of banner shape, the new design and how it displays photos, etc. bear many similarities.
Apple's latest notification process in iOS and iPadOS 15 seeks to prioritize messages given to you by real users from different sorts of messaging applications, as you may have observed.
It does so by consolidating insignificant notifications to a brief. Contacy is a new jailbreak hack that works in a similar manner, but in a different method.
Similar to iOS & iPadOS 15, it prioritizes your message alerts at the top so you can answer faster, while leaving less important notifications for you to glance at later.
The iPhone's new Safari grid-based tabbed browsing bears a striking resemblance to the iPad's. GridTab, a jailbreak tweak, made this feature available for owned iPhones for the first time in 2011. Now, it looks like iOS 15 will have a more advanced version of this feature.
Another curious new feature of iOS & iPadOS 15 is that it may now notify you if you forget something, such as one of your AirTags.
Proximitus, a recent jailbreak hack that allows similar functionality on pwned smartphones for things like your AirPods, may come to mind for recent jailbreakers.
Recent jailbreakers may recall Proximitus, a jailbreak hack that provides similar functionality on pwned handsets for things like your AirPods.
Spotlight appears to be getting a lot better with iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, especially in terms of search results, which are now much more web-based.
The idea of viewing detailed site results directly from the Spotlight interface isn't new; it was initially introduced in 2012 with the release of the WebSpot jailbreak hack. Of course, Apple added the flash and shine.
If you're using iOS and iPadOS 14 for a while, you may have been disappointed that full-featured Home Screen widgets were only accessible on the iPhone.
This will change in iPadOS 15, but users of iPadOS 14 could have done the same thing using a jailbreak tweak like Anywhere Widgets for iPad.
In iOS & iPadOS 14, it was replaced with a more inline date picker (left), which displeased Apple's user base.
Although Apple appears to be restoring this in iOS and iPadOS 15, it's important to mention that a jailbreak hack called DatePicker – Wheels for iOS and iPadOS 14 previously performed the same thing.
Apple appears to be reversing this in iOS & iPadOS 15, but it's worth mentioning that a jailbreak tweak called DatePicker – Wheels for iOS & iPadOS 14 previously did this.
Along with Home Screen widgets, iPadOS 15 brings the desired App Library to the iPad.
The App Library may have been delivered to the iPad on iPadOS 14 instead of being restricted to iPhones thanks to a jailbreak technique known as App Library Enabler. Apple is abruptly changing course and introducing this as a native feature.
According to Apple's iPadOS 15 upgrade, users can now take notes from anywhere in the operating system.
It's always important to note that jailbreakers have been able to do this for years because of jailbreak additions like Notepad and Libellum.
The magnifying glass was removed from text editing in iOS 14, however it has been restored in iOS 15. Jailbreakers have had access to the magnifying glass for a long time, thanks to a jailbreak exploit known as Loupe.
Apple is continuously enhancing the privacy features in iOS and iPadOS 15, including a per-app report that tells users what types of data each app accesses and for how long.
NetFence, a jailbreak tweak, was presented to you not long ago. While it was designed primarily as an outward firewall, it could also monitor traffic leaving your device in the background, offering similar user-friendly warnings on what programs are doing when you aren't looking.
For a long time, the Safari web browser lacked the ubiquitous pull to refresh feature seen in many iOS and iPadOS apps. With the introduction of iOS & iPadOS 15, it is now natively available.
Anyhow, this concept is not new because in 2010, a jailbreak tweak called Pull To Refresh Safari was released, which gave pwned phone owners this exact power.
Advanced machine learning capabilities are built into both iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, allowing users to detect items in a camera frame and learn more about them by running a web search.
While this functionality was previously available in an app called Iryss, which was published in 2017, we wanted to spotlight it because it was created by a jailbreak community developer.
We feel the concept started in our own jailbreak group as a result of our brainstorming process.
According to Apple, iOS 15 will be compatible with the following iPhones:
